Unfortunately it doesn’t look likely that the Kelly family is going to make it Back Home to Indiana this Thanksgiving. Our little miss Sweet Pea is very sick and her parents are very tired. Since Sunday we have had our fingers crossed that this cold would pass, I even have all our suitcases packed. Yesterday looked better but last night was the worst yet. Leon and I worked tag team with our little bundle of boogies but we each got no more than an little over an hour of sleep. This morning I feel like I have been hit by a train. My combined sleep for the last 3 nights doesn’t yet total 8 hours. I remember when feeling this tired meant you were partying like a rock star, now it just means your parenting like one.

I’m so sorry that she is still not feeling well! I hope you all get some rest this weekend and that she starts feeling better.
This too shall pass! All babies get colds, get runny noses, drool and their sleep pattern is sparatic. You have just begun the roller coaster ride of a life time! Enjoy!! Remember: This won’t last forever. Love you and remember in about 18 years, 20, no 25, no 30, perhaps 50 nope.. well, someday you will be in a rocker and you can doze off and on all day and sleep all you want when your loves are too busy to come and visit you!
