Our lovely little neighborhood is doing a “healthy neighborhood project” in conjunction with Penrose hospital. My mom, Leon and I have all signed up. It is a 6 month program to help us become a better healthier version of ourselves. I think the project is going to be a lot of fun, ok fun isn’t the right word, but you know what I mean.
We are one week in, and while the rest of my office enjoys Ritz tater tots or Taste of Jerusalem fries I am enjoying a lovely homemade sandwich and a piece of fruit. So far no cheating. At least 3 times a week I am running on our new Jillian Anderson (she scares me by the way) Nordic Track special, the X7 incline dojobby. It is pretty fancy. It is connected to our wireless network so we can choose any trail or path on google maps and run it with the actual inclines and declines and photos along the route.
So how are we doing? One of us has lost 5 lbs. The other has only noticed our jeans are tigher in the thighs from all the running. Can you guess who is who? Ugh. 5 months 3 weeks to go.
