I would be remiss to let February go by and not talk about the importance of Black History Month.  While I am sure you heard we have a Black president therefore we are a “post-racial” society I could talk your ear off on why that is obviously silly. But I am not going to.  I am going to let you prove it to yourself. 

I painstakingly research every product that comes into the house for Eloise. I realize this is a classic new parent with one child scenario.  I am embarrassed to even tell you about a push cart we just got her.

Papa is not the only one having fun with his friends in the snow. 

If you are anything like us you have been glued to the winter olympics.  Sometimes it is both amazing and terrifying.  All the excitement forced us to the do the obvious and reopen Leon’s Luge.

A couple of weeks ago I was at a hotel watching Matt Lauer & crew (mostly as a means of self torture) and this British couple was on to talk about the bizarre things the husband says in his sleep.  So strange in fact they have started a blog. 

Eloise recently made her first visit to the park. 

This weekend Miss Eloise had a full agenda of meeting, greeting, and partying.  Here are a few photos of our adorable girl.

One of the challenges Leon and I face each year is we put off our charitable giving until the end of December and then we run around crazy finding charities we want to support, writing checks, and trying to get everything postmarked by Dec 31st.  It isn’t really a good month to add additional tasks, so this year we are trying a new strategy. 

Last year was the first time in our 13+ year relationship that we bought a NEW outdoor grill.  You may remember the posts concerning this major purchase.  As with many things you get a taste of the good life and it is hard to go back!
