Elle loved being out and about in Aruba, and by out and about I mean all over the resort and the neighboring one. Here are a TON (yet still just a fraction) of my favorite photos of our fun.

The pool was not nearly as scary and the ocean for Miss E, but she did like to stay near the edges. We spent hours on the pool steps- up and down- up and down. As she became more confident we worked on some basics like kicking and she seemed to enjoy splashing, unless water touches her face- then all bets are off. Here are a few of our swim time photos. Enjoy!
Eloise took a couple days to understand the point of the beach. She didn’t like the sounds of the waves, she wasn’t sure about the grainy inedible stuff we were playing in but she did like going in the water with Papa. A few days into the trip she decided she liked the sand, and seemed to get the idea of playing in it, although her job was primarily to destroy anything Papa made. A few photo highlights!
We are back! We had a fantastic trip and as I am sure you expected there are lots of Eloise photos for this week. In fact, the remainder of the week will be all Eloise. Our charming little one traveled like a pro. We flew to Chicago the first night and stayed at the airport hilton and took the 5+ hour flight to Aruba first thing in the AM. On the return we had a total of 14 hours of travel time and while she was exhausted and a little manic she was great. Here are a few photos of our traveler.
In a few short days Ms. Eloise Kelly will be an international traveler. So what does it take to prepare for vacation with a 13 month old?
Person A and Person B were in South Florida this weekend and both claim to have had a great time.
Now that I am someone’s mama my work travel schedule has changed and I have lost all my airline status. Leon and I will be in the back of the bus with everyone else on our flight to Miami. It was something I had prepared for prior to Eloise being born. I know that sounds weird but there is something about knowing all the airports, knowing what flights go where and when. I used to take a lot of pride in being the consummate flight concierge, having status on 3 airlines and 2 hotel chains. (funny I hate restaurant chains but sure have a lot of Marriott rewards)
Boy was I a sucker.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look likely that the Kelly family is going to make it Back Home to Indiana this Thanksgiving. Our little miss Sweet Pea is very sick and her parents are very tired.
We enjoyed our hiking in Pagosa Springs. Eloise was able to see her 3rd waterfall, not bad for a 4 month old! We love the Kelty. She is easier to carry (says Leon) and she is very happy to ride and nap! Here are a few photo highlights.
