I thought you might need a few Miss E photos to get you through hump day. This is just a hodgepodge of the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
Eloise
Leon had 2 fantasy football drafts this weekend and in case you are not a football widow this is truly an important occasion. I would guess he ranks this time of year up there with the birth of Eloise and our wedding. Honestly, I bet it likes it more than our wedding. But being the wife I have some insight into what is really going on and I am going to out him on a couple of his tricks.
Yesterday we took Elle for a walk to the park to swing (one of her favorite pastimes) and we sat in the grass and looked up at the sky (one of her favorite words) so in honor of her love of the sky today’s Friday Funny, Cloud dreaming.
Yesterday was Miss Elle’s first day back at school (and by school I mean her once weekly play group)
I am usually completely transparent and honest with you. But there are a couple of things I may have intentionally not mentioned. So in the spirit of full disclosure I have a couple of confessions…
I am happy to announce that Project Colorado, my well documented plan to relocate my friends and family to Colorado, has yet another success story. My wonderful brother-in-law Eric officially moved to Colorado this weekend!! And to add to the fun and excitement my fabulous sister-in-law Brooke was here to help with the move. If only she were staying… Here are some fun photos from our family weekend.
Elle loved being out and about in Aruba, and by out and about I mean all over the resort and the neighboring one. Here are a TON (yet still just a fraction) of my favorite photos of our fun.
The pool was not nearly as scary and the ocean for Miss E, but she did like to stay near the edges. We spent hours on the pool steps- up and down- up and down. As she became more confident we worked on some basics like kicking and she seemed to enjoy splashing, unless water touches her face- then all bets are off. Here are a few of our swim time photos. Enjoy!
Eloise took a couple days to understand the point of the beach. She didn’t like the sounds of the waves, she wasn’t sure about the grainy inedible stuff we were playing in but she did like going in the water with Papa. A few days into the trip she decided she liked the sand, and seemed to get the idea of playing in it, although her job was primarily to destroy anything Papa made. A few photo highlights!
We are back! We had a fantastic trip and as I am sure you expected there are lots of Eloise photos for this week. In fact, the remainder of the week will be all Eloise. Our charming little one traveled like a pro. We flew to Chicago the first night and stayed at the airport hilton and took the 5+ hour flight to Aruba first thing in the AM. On the return we had a total of 14 hours of travel time and while she was exhausted and a little manic she was great. Here are a few photos of our traveler.
